Bio

Mark P Cullen is an Irish abstract artist whose flair for linear shapes and a vibrant palette has won him a considerable following. Since beginning his career as a full-time artist in 2003, Cullen has successfully exhibited his paintings in numerous galleries across Ireland and also in England, Scotland, France and Northern Ireland. Cullen employs a characteristic bold palette and textural play in his paintings, many of which use the harbour as a playground for visual intrigue. He takes the reflective scenery of the Dublin coastline close to his studio and creates masterfully fluid landscape imagery through his signature abstraction techniques. Exhibitions across Ireland include the RHA annual exhibition and VUE in Dublin, the Eigse exhibition in Carlow and RUA annual exhibition in Belfast. His work has also been featured in international art fairs, including Edinburgh Art Fair and Paris Art Fair.
