Stephanie Sloan is an Irish printmaker, working from her coastal studio in Co Wicklow. She graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and the Royal College of Art, London. By 2005 she was already a winner of Design for All awards by IDI. Sloan’s depictions of the natural world are imbued with illuminating colours and the charming characteristics of local scenery. Her process involves unifying technology and the organic process of printmaking to create captivating illustrative artworks. She captures the harmony of sea, sky and land through her graphic use of negative space, intriguing compositions and layering techniques. Exhibiting in Ireland and the UK, Sloan has developed herself as an artist and designer with multiple solo exhibitions showcasing her bold prints. Sloan is an active participant in several print fairs and has been featured in publications.
