David Hedderman is an Irish artist and musician working and living in Berlin, Germany. He graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a BA in fine art in 2005 and since has been exhibiting and performing across Ireland and Germany. His figurative artwork focuses on the human form; Hedderman overlays human poses to create a complex dialogue between the figures in his work and their movement over time. As such, his use of layering and the overlapping of linework creates a non-linear narrative which contemplates the human experience over time. Exhibiting with the RHA annually from 2013-2020 and in galleries across Berlin, Hedderman has accumulated a transnational repertoire. He has been awarded the Hennessy Craig Scholorship and has published A Graphic Guide to Life Drawing.
