‘My great hope for my work is that it makes people experience a truly special feeling that only they can explain. I hope that they experience a sense of what I feel when I paint each piece. These feelings and emotions can’t be expressed in words, as it’s on such a deeper level. To be able to paint is a privilege, to be able to paint the horse is a blessing that I’m privileged to share‘ – John Fitzgerald John Fitzgerald was born and lives in Co Meath, Ireland. He is a graduate of Industrial Design from Letterkenny Institue of Technology (1996) & Swansea University, UK (1997). He also holds a Diploma in Antiques and Fine Art from IPAV. He continues to garner prestigious commissions from private clients and companies, including many of the leading horse owners, trainers and jockeys (e.g. portraits of Lester Piggot and 20 times champion A.P.Mc Coy).
