Bio

Vadim Tuzov studied study drawing and sculpture at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kiev, Ukraine. He now works in Ireland, sculpting full-time since the 80s. His childhood surroundings cemented a lifelong fascination with animal life which he carries into his work, where he depicts bold animal subjects in bronze. He undertakes the entire bronze sculpting process from start to finish, working from a piece of clay to the patination. This confident handling of materials coupled with his understanding of anatomy allows him to create dynamic ‘living’ sculptures. His sculptures portray the essence, strength and grace of his animal subjects. Tuzov's technical skills and his commitment to his craftmanship have enabled him to garner a growing following. He has exhibited across Dublin and has private collections in Ireland, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia and both North and South America.
