Bio

Vadim Tuzov studied study drawing and sculpture at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kiev, Ukraine. He commenced sculpting full-time in the late 80s. Tuzov’s style is unique – he habitually works in an impulsive, individualised style with a confidence mastered over years. The bronze wildlife sculptures he creates illustrate natural moments of animal life through his own interpretation; Tuzov childhood surroundings sowed his lifelong facination in wild animals Tuzov performs the whole bronze sculpture creation process with his own hands – from a piece of clay to the patination. This confident handling of materials, coupled with an understanding of anatomy, results in dynamic ‘living’ sculptures, which portray the essence, strength and grace of his animal subjects.
