Wilton Gallery is pleased to announce its representation of Steve Browning. He is a plein air painter.

Steve Browning is a graduate of Leicester School of Art & Design, who commenced his career as creative art director, working in the UK and Ireland leading ad agencies. During this time he learned how to present his ideas, putting them down on paper using simple composition and colour. But by 2002 he decided to pursue full-time painting plein-air.

The skills he acquired as an advertising art director helped him to develop a distinctive style in painting. Browning paints predominately landscapes with figurative works in acrylics. The work encompass movement depicting the interplay of light with soft tones and short brush strokes.

Steve’s work has been shown in London, Dublin (RHA), and Belfast (RUA). He works is found in collections across UK, USA and Ireland. He has won numerous awards from the Dublin Plein Air Festival, Wexford’s Art in the Open Festival and Finalist in the prestigious Plein Air Magazine of America in 2020 and 2021. The gallery is delighted to exhibit a collection of his works.
