The Gallery presents an exciting; exhibiton 'Continuum' on abstract and neo expressionism featuring:  Jenny Fox | Brian Gormley | Jeremy Houghton | Alana (Svetlana) Lavery | Stephanie Sloan | Anthony Wigglesworth et al., | Jean Michel Basquiat,  and talks; Brian Gormley, the artist and friend of Jean Michel Basquiat (1960 - 1988), on preview day and Dr Margarita Cappock is an art historian, curator, writer and expert on Francis Bacon ' Francis Bacon's Baggot Street Origin 1909 - 1992'.

 

The space within 46-48 Pembroke Road has been designed with our collobraters (BuildingLinks, Minima Home, Dulux Heritage Paints, Lansdowne Hotel and Waterloo Bar) to celebrate all things Baggotonia. We are running the events in tandum with the Baggotonia Festival 2024. This artistic era influences the genesis of this exhibition. Which celebrates the cultural movements of the past that did challenge conventional narratives. 

 

The location of the exhibition is in the heart of historic Dublin. A neighbourhood steeped in Irish history (old and modern), hosting some of Dublin's finest architecture. Explore "Baggotonia" area.  Once a bohemian culture created by the artists and literary figures who made Baggot Street their debaucherous home from the 1940's to the 70's.
